On October 26 starting at noon, I will be able to meet with you at my booth at the 2nd annual CT Bridal Open House.
It is on the Storrs UConn campus in the beautiful Alumni House. There will be fun things to see and do – a raffle,a trunk sale with discounted bridal gowns, and more!
Well, here it is. The last official hour of summer.
I hope it was a good summer for all of you.
Here is one of my favorite flowers from my garden.
The sunflower.
I have been doing some thinking about the different weddings I did this summer, and the ones coming up this fall. ‘Organization’ was the word that came up so often in talking to my couples, especially the brides, this summer. One of my super organized brides, Jen, had a great agenda printed up for everyone including me! It had the phone numbers and contact info for all the family, wedding party, vendors and extra helpers. It also had a time line that was very helpful for everyone. I worked it out with her for the photo schedule in fifteen minute slots, it kept everyone on time and there were no hitches! If anyone is interested to know more let me know.
If any of you have some other suggestions for ‘brides to be’ on how to stay organized and stay sane, would you please comment here? Thanks. Let’s get a conversation going!
Finally! I am posting the totally awesome wedding of Cynthia and Chris! I am still catching up on my blogging- this was back in August!
We dodged raindrops in the afternoon, managed to get the formal portraits in right at the church because the showers were jumping from one neighborhood to the next within minutes! As soon as we stepped inside the Bond Ballroom in Hartford, it began to pour! Whew! Rain and all, it was a beautiful day!
It is my favorite time of year! Late summer light is so complimentary for portraits and everyone is looking great after a summer of outdoor activity and vacation time.
Take some time to think about a family portrait. They make good holiday gifts that keep on giving!
Here is a family that I photographed very recently. Give me a call for your family portrait.
I am a wedding and portrait photographer. I'm also a former concert pianist, mother of two awesome boys, happily married to Peter and the owner of a standard poodle named Roxy.
