Hello my fellow PhotoJourney enthusiasts! I have just posted 2 more Journeys on the CT PhotoJourneys page here on the website. I am really excited about these. The next one in September will be City-Scapes – a downtown Hartford experience. Have you really looked closely at the interesting historic buildings in downtown Hartford? Or how the light and shadows create lines and new dimensions in a city landscape? Come explore with us and learn something new about photography, your camera with many tips and how to’s!
In October, we will find a great place to be outdoors to enjoy and photograph the fall colors. We will explore many ways to get creative with color, motion and light. The exact location is still to be determined.
See you in September, October or both!

I also shoot for Photopro Studios located in Glastonbury. Last week I photographed a wedding for Glen, the owner and master photographer there. Glen is a great guy and I thank him for all he has taught me over the years. He has a great new office space in the Glen Lochen Mall in Glastonbury. Stop by and say hello! Here are a few highlights from the wedding at the Riverview in Simsbury.

Here are some highlights from Colby and Rich’s engagement shoot last weekend! We went over to Southford Falls State Park, in Southford, CT. Nice place to hike, picnic and enjoy the sound of a waterfall. Oh, and of course, make portraits!

It was a pleasure to spend the afternoon with Colby and Rich. Two very sweet and special people. Thank you, guys, for being so agreeable and for climbing all around those amazing waterfalls! Can’t wait until the big day in September!

I hope you all had a wonderful July 4th weekend! Mine was crazy busy – I had a wedding on Saturday, a short one for Sherryll and Mike, then I drove to Vermont to catch up with my family and friends for BBQ and fireworks on their property in the Northeast Kingdom. Wow, that is far up there in the north. The sun did not shine, but on the way I caught this amazing rainbow. If I was more daring, and crossed the highway on foot I could have captured the whole thing in the frame. Needless to say, I am a wimp when it comes to speeding cars, so I got what I could from where I stood.
