CT PhotoJourney Update!

by Kim Bova on July 25, 2009

Hello my fellow PhotoJourney enthusiasts!  I have just posted 2 more Journeys on the CT PhotoJourneys page here on the website.  I am really excited about these.  The next one in September will be City-Scapes – a downtown Hartford experience.  Have you really looked closely at the interesting historic buildings in downtown Hartford?  Or how the light and shadows create lines and new dimensions in a city landscape? Come explore with us and learn something new about photography, your camera with many tips and how to’s!

In October, we will find a great place to be outdoors to enjoy and photograph the fall colors.  We will explore many ways to get creative with color, motion and light.  The exact location is still to be determined.

See you in September,  October or both!

Class Photo

by Kim Bova on June 3, 2009

The Stonington Borough PhotoJourney was a great success!  We spent the afternoon and evening exploring light, composition and finding the beauty in interesting details in this enchanting town.  I am so proud of all my students as I could see how much they grew over the course of the afternoon.  Everyone had questions and concerns when we started but by the time sunset was upon us, it seemed as if everyone was sailing well on their own.   Some students had to learn some hard lessons when battery power died, but I have to say that when one student got down on the ground to get the angle she was looking for, my heart jumped for joy!  She was seeing in new ways!  Good work, everyone.  Hope to see you all on another PhotoJourney soon!

121Thank you Jean Molodetz for taking this photo of us!  From L to R is Roxanne, Olivia, Bob, Meg, Allan, me and Gina.

We were relaxing on the sea wall before heading off to dinner at Noah’s Restaurant.  Great food!  Go check it out!

Connecticut PhotoJourneys

by Kim Bova on May 13, 2009

Come join us on a Connecticut PhotoJourney!  These classes are for individuals interested in improving their photography skills or to learn how to work their camera.  If you already know your camera and just want to practice shooting along side professionals for your own projects or for pleasure, this is definitely the place for you as well!  We will be visiting a variety of beautiful places in Connecticut through out the year.

If you have a group or club that would like to schedule a private PhotoJourney, I am available to do that as well.

I will have a link with a schedule of classes and fees, so please check back here soon!  Otherwise, feel free to call or email me for the details or to sign up.
